You train your body, so why not your mind?
Take control of your performance by strengthening confidence, focus and resilience. We can help you manage pressure, build tenacity, and enhance focus. Investing in an athlete's mental health can prove the difference in taking your skills to the next level.
Do you know an athlete who is looking to take their mental fortitude to the next level? Contact us today to see how we can help.
Initial Assessment We start by assessing the mental health and personality of the athlete using academically validated tools. From there, we craft bespoke plans to target the specific needs of the athlete and monitor outcomes throughout the process. The assessment process includes an interview, completing, completing academically validated assessment tools and (optionally) a discussion with the athlete’s coach(es).
Sessions Held virtually or in-person, 50-minutes 1:1 sessions offer the opportunity to build the athlete’s toolbox, while ‘homework’ provides opportunities for real-life experience honing the skills from sessions. Sessions build on each other and we monitor progress towards treatment goals using academically validated tools. Common themes include mental health, focus, confidence, and resilience. Using evidence-based techniques such as behavioural activation, mindfulness, meditation, visualization, cognitive reframing, journaling and more, we build skills for athlete's to put into their sport but also their day-to-day.
The Outcome These services are not tactical, strategic or fitness focused. By increasing well-being and ability to tolerate pressure, work through challenges and be confident, athlete's can overcome performance barriers and increase the value of the sport-specific training you do, while better their day-to-day mental health.
